As CEO of FBAlliance Insurance, Geri Powell manages the growing US insurer charged with delivering innovative new products to Farm Bureau members in states across the US. Prior to assuming her role as CEO in October of 2019, she served as the Executive Director of Business & Strategic Development with the Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. Her broad experience in the insurance industry spans over 24 years and includes 14 years of leadership roles at Nationwide Insurance Company.

Geri holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and organizational leadership from Mercer University, along with Project Management Professional (PMP)® and Associate in General Insurance (AINS®) designations.

Geri has been active in the legislative and advocacy arena for many years having most recently served (2018-2019) as President of the Georgia Property & Casualty Insurance Companies, a trade association that represents it’s members at the US Capitol. She served as a member of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies’ Federal Affairs Committee working in the public policymaking process on federal-level legislative and regulatory issues from 2018 to 2019.

Geri has a passion for the value of data science in the insurance industry specifically in the areas of AI, ML and predictive analytics. She sees the opportunities for the industry to leverage these tools to better serve policyholders and achieve the financial objectives of her organization. Her insights have been enhanced in her role as a founding Board Member for Mercer University’s Risk Management and Insurance program. She also served on Mercer University’s Analytics Advisory Group. Designing curriculum and providing industry input to the Stetson School of Business in tailoring learning to ensure students are on the leading edge of employing analytics both in an interpretive and predictive fashion. Geri also led the partnership between Mercer University and Georgia Farm Bureau to create an Insurance Digital Laboratory. Offering tech focused students, the opportunity to innovate and develop insurance related applications using their unique generational perspectives on live projects. She also participates in the University of Georgia’s Annual Invitation Insurance Management Seminar (AIMS) which invites a small group of industry leaders to informally discuss property liability insurance and risk management issues. Geri was recognized with Digital Insurance’s Women in Insurance Leadership Award in 2019 for her work in these areas.

Geri is married with two “young adult” children living in Georgia where she remains active in her community serving in multiple volunteer roles with Habitat for Humanity, the Museum of Arts and Sciences, the National Charity League and other local charities.

Jeff Dillon, CPA, is Chief Financial Officer of FBAlliance Insurance and its affiliates. Previously he served as Treasurer and Executive Officer with the Virginia Farm Bureau and the Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry having served in senior executive positions with life, health, and property casualty companies.

Jeff graduated from Illinois State University with degrees in Accounting and in Business Administration. In addition to earning the designation as a Certified Public Accountant, he has also earned industry designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

His experience includes executive management of finance and accounting, information technology, governance, insurance operations and administration, agency, and government relations. Jeff has been an instrumental leader in the creation of new insurance companies and the turnaround of troubled companies inside and outside of the insurance industry.
